“Since graduating, I have been applying my legal training directly in my advocacy work as Head of Global Policy at the Aquatic Life Institute—developing and influencing policy proposals, con-tributing to global successful legislative campaigns (such as preemptive bans on octopus farming), and integrating animal welfare into climate, ocean, and food systems governance. My CALS education has strengthened my ability to build legal arguments, analyze legislation, and collaborate with policymakers to secure better protections for aquatic animals.”
